Summer Movies to see

Oh man! This summer is going to be AMAZING on the movie front! Heres a list of movies I WANT to see but probably wont cuz I'm poor, lol!

Iron Man - May 2nd

Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, "Iron Man" tells the story of Tony Stark, the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune. A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side. Though he commands his empire by day, by night he secretly becomes "Iron Man," the living embodiment of decades of defense spending and innovation. Strapping on billions of dollars worth of state-of-the-art armor and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage, Tony begins to crack under the strain of his fractured lifestyle and must ultimately confront the one enemy he can never beat -- himself.

Speed Racer - May 9th

Based on the classic 1960s series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the big-screen film will follow the adventures of the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory in his thundering gadget-laden vehicle, Mach 5. The movie will feature other characters from the show, including Speed's family and his mysterious archrival, Racer X.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - May 16th

"Prince Caspian" finds the Pevensie siblings pulled back into the land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since they left. The children are once again enlisted to join the colorful creatures of Narnia in combating an evil villain who prevents the rightful Prince from ruling the land. "Prince Caspian" was first published in 1951, and is the fourth book in the seven-book series written by Lewis.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - May 22nd

Just watch. This looks amazing.

Known Plot Thus Far: In 1957, Indiana Jones is thrust back in action, venturing into the jungles of South America in a race against Soviet agents to find the mystical Crystal Skull.

When last we saw Indy, he was riding off into the sunset in 1989's The Last Crusade, set in 1938 near the start of World War II. The new movie, due this spring, is set at the height of the Cold War in 1957, so the character has aged in real time — 19 years.

He's teaching and having kind of a quiet life. Once the archaeologist is thrust back into danger, the signature Indiana Jones red line tracing across the map will take him to New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City and the jungles of Peru.

Get Smart - June 20th

Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). Given little field experience and even less time, Smart--armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm--must thwart the doomsday plans of KAOS head Siegfried (Terance Stamp).

WALL•E - June 27th

You just can't go wrong with Pixar! The year is 2700. WALL•E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for. "WALL•E" is the story of one robot's comic adventures as he chases his dream across the galaxy. I can't wait to see this one.

The Dark Knight - July 18th

Again, just watch this one. It looks amazing.

The X-files: I Want To Believe (working title) - July 25th

Now here is a movie I can't WAIT for! In grand "X-Files" manner, the as yet untitled film's storyline is being kept under wraps, known only to top studio brass and the film's principals. This much can be revealed: The supernatural thriller is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the always-complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer - Aug 1st

The blockbuster global "Mummy" franchise takes a spellbinding turn as the action shifts to Asia for the next chapter in the adventure series, "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O'Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined in this all-new adventure by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah). And this time, the O'Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.

Doomed by a double-crossing sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) to spend eternity in suspended animation, China's ruthless Dragon Emperor and his 10,000 warriors have laid forgotten for eons, entombed in clay as a vast, silent terra cotta army. But when dashing adventurer Alex O'Connell is tricked into awakening the ruler from eternal slumber, the reckless young archaeologist must seek the help of the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead: his parents.

As the monarch roars back to life, our heroes find his quest for world domination has only intensified over the millennia. Striding the Far East with unimaginable supernatural powers, the Emperor Mummy will rouse his legion as an unstoppable, otherworldly force...unless the O'Connells can stop him first. I LOVED the first 2 installments and I can't wait to see this!

Looks like I'll be spending quite a bit of time at the movies this summer!

Oh yeah!!! David was ready to "give up" the Father/Son overnight campout just to see Price Caspain on the first day :D I think I'm more excited for Indiana Jones (we'll be at MIM) AND X-Files. We started watching the conspiracy series again. I hope Get Smart is done right. It could be very funny. Not to excited on Speed Racer but you KNOW Auntie Lynn is :D And you know how I feel about the Mummy. You'll just have to tell me about that one since I don't want any bad dreams. WALL*E will be fun too. Not sure I can watch Dark Knight~looks a bit evil for me. But THAT'S your Mom for ya!
